How We Calculate Your Carbon Footprint
Illuminate partners with Matter, a sustainable investment data provider, to calculate carbon footprints. We aggregate emissions data from all holdings in your investment portfolio, incorporating Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and provide a weighted average result of your investment portfolio's carbon footprint. This weighting means larger portfolio positions proportionally influence the overall carbon footprint calculation more significantly than smaller positions.

- Temperature Score - Estimates the global temperature increase that would occur if all companies operated at the same emissions intensity as the company
- Science Based Targets - Identifies companies committed to emissions reductions validated by scientific standards
